Who we are...

Backwoodsman is a family-owned business, established in the Scottish Highlands for over a quarter of a century.

In June 2011, after over 20 years in production, we have decided reluctantly to discontinue the GrowMate in order to concentrate on other areas of our business.

Raw material, energy and especially transport costs have all risen sharply in the last couple of years, making small-scale production in a remote location increasingly uneconomic.

We would like to thank our many customers for their support over the years, and also provide assurance that we expect to be able to supply most parts as spares for the forseeable future.
