DIY assembly...

The GrowMate Standard and Mini are supplied in kit form and both are simple to assemble - just follow the instructions! Most users report an assembly time of around 3 - 4 hours and this generally includes filling the base with compost and planting up as well.
The only tool you will need is included with the kit.
The 24 page Manual is ring-bound to lie flat while you are using it and all paragraphs are numbered and accompanied by clear illustrations and/or exploded diagrams. In addition there is a 12 month growing guide, several pages of notes by experienced users, and a checklist and trouble-shooting section that will help you to identify any difficulties and put them right.
You can also of course telephone our factory at any time in the unlikely event that you encounter difficulties.

The complete 24 page Manual is contained in this section in PDF format.

It contains several illustrations and occupies a 1.5Mg file which will take some time to download dependent upon the speed of your modem.During download the PDF system gives little indication of what is happening and your computer may appear to 'hang.' Patience is however generally rewarded! Note - in order to download PDF files your computer needs to be equipped with a software program called Acrobat, which is free of charge and may be downloaded from the Adobe website. If you don't already have Acrobat installed on your computer and would like to install it now click on Adobe

Glass Replacement
It is uneconomic for us to replace single glass panels from the factory because of the high cost of crating them and getting them to you by carrier. Glass is cheap! Virtually all glaziers stock Dutchlight – a grade of horticultural glass that comes in panels 1422m x 730mm x 3mm and costs around £10 per panel. You can get TWO triangles out of Dutchlight with very little waste, so the cost shouldn't be much more than £5 per triangle. Ask before you buy and don't allow yourself to be wildly over-charged.

The best bet is to print out a copy of our glass cutting instructions (below) and hand it to your glazier. Make sure you know which model you have. The Standard is 5'0" diameter x 5'0" high, the Mini is 4'0" diameter x 4'0" high.
